A Word About Purchasing A
VINTAGE MOVIE PROJECTOR
( my disclaimer )

Most old movie projectors being bought and sold today are
coming from many years of idle storage, found in hot attics,
dusty closets, even damp basements.
It is hard to know what type of life the old projector had
prior to being stored for that last time 40 or 50 years ago.

While many of these projectors were meticulously
maintained by their proud owners,
others were
undoubtedly abused and never properly cared for.
And one can never tell how many hours of life are left
on a vintage machine, and ceertainly true for
the projection bulb.

..........................................

With this in mind, I offer for sale both,
"working" and "non-working" projectors.

When I recieve a projector, I first plug it in to determine if
the motor runs and if the bulb still works.
Before leaving my shop, I lubricate the projector, according to the manual,
and perform what I call my "bench test".

My bench test consists of threading up and running (projecting)
a 400' reel of film through the projector, rewinding,
check the gate, clutch, variable speed,
and all other switches & functions,
and maybe a good cleaning,
I am not a repair technician so
other than replacing a bulb or lens,
I perform no additional service to
my projectors prior to selling them.

Projectors that do not pass my bench test are sold as
"non-working", as decorative pieces or for parts,
for which I have a Non-Working Projector Gallery.

Projectors that pass my "bench test" are sold as working projectors.
I DO NOT offer any sort of guarantee beyond my word that
when a projector leaves my shop,
it is functioning, and the projection bulb is working.
