REAL BONE
HUMAN SKELETON
This male Skeleton specimen
came from the medical labs of
McGill University, Montreal, Canada.
It is fully articulated
with a removeable skull cap.
He's missing a few fingers
but otherwise, in very good condition.
Most of the human skeletons
in
existence today were imported from India
sometime during the past 100 years.
Recently, it has become illegal to assemble
"real bone" human skeletons for sale
even for medical, science, or educational purposes.
Needless to say, at this point,
as far as real bone skeletons go,
what we got is what we got!
I have a quick story about
my friend Big Mike, who sold this skeleton
to me and delivered it from Canada.
As Mike and his wife attempted to cross
the U.S. Border in her car, with the skeleton folded
neatly in a suitcase in the trunk, they were chosen
for a routine vehicle inspection.
Mike's wife knew nothing about the skeleton
in the trunk of her car (Mike had failed to mention
it to her) until customs agents opened
the suitcase and found it!
The guards immediately hauled Mike and his wife
off to seperate detention rooms and
held them for 8 hours as potential
"homicide suspects"!
Big Mike still lives in Montreal
but he's no longer married.
This
skeleton lived with me for a few years,
and has since found a new home in a
forensics laboratory
in Maryland.
