Early 1900's
Real Photo Postcard

A
striking real-photo postcard
portrait of
DAVID WANDU
from
Belgium Congo, South Africa

In the late 1800's and early 1900's
many people who suffered from unfortunate
physical "conditions" found a livelyhood in
being part of the circus or sideshow business.
This card was likely a hand-out
used by David Wandu in his capacity
as a sideshow"attraction", possibly with
the likes of P.T. Barnum, etc.

The photo below shows his handwritten inscription
and signature.

A fantastic, eerie, haunting
historical real-photo postcard
